This spiral slicer is very safe. To use it flip open the hinged lid, adjust the width of the cut you want, put the fruit or vegetable in the spiral slicer, then flip the lid closed and slice by turning the top handle while gently pressing down. The Julienne or slices collect in the container below.
The spiral slicer cuts efficiently with 2 stainless steel blades. These 2 hardened stainless steel blades cut with very little waste.
